![]() Rob Miller and his business psychologist team worked with us during 2009 to design and develop an organisational competency framework. There are certain qualities I aspire to identify in a potential business partner, such as rapport/relationship with our internal team, flexibility and adaptability as required, and to add value as an external resource to what we set out to achieve in terms of a business outcome. That these things need to be in place are almost a given, yet, when they are not, can have disastrous consequences on the project. With Rob and his team, who were helpful and professional throughout (yet brought an element of fun to the proceedings), we needn't have worried. More importantly though, is what difference their contribution has made to our business. We have gained, through having a robust and easy to use competency framework, a cost effective way of providing a common 'language' of expected behaviours for our employees. Our aim was to further increase the quality of candidates being selected for assessment centre and for successful candidates to both deliver in-job success at the entry level role and be ready for promotion within the business within a short-time frame.
